Q. What makes weddings at Emerald Grande at Harborwalk Village unique?

Emerald Grande is unique because we are the only all-inclusive hotel-resort in Destin. Guest can come here and never leave our property. We have a full service spa with fitness center, charter fishing trips, watersports, golf courses, shopping, restaurants, weekly events at HarborWalk Village, fully equipped kitchens in every residence, and above all, the friendliest staff that will bend over backwards to make sure that every guest has a memorable experience. Our goal is to be your home away from home. We want you to kick back and relax. We can achieve that by providing everything on our property that you would need.

Q. What do people like most about having their weddings or receptions at Emerald Grande at HarborWalk Village?

Couples appreciate and are complimentary to the dedication to professionalism of our staff, the excellent service they provide, and their courtesy. In addition, our culinary excellence and award winning Chefs continue to receive rave reviews for their exceptional food preparation and presentation.

Q. Do you cater the events?

A.

Yes.  All the time.  Emerald Grande provides all of your food and beverage needs. With our special events menu, I am sure that you will be able to find something to suit your needs. If not, our Chef will customize your menu to make sure that every couple has exactly what they want for their special day.

Q. How do you decorate for receptions?

A.

We have several options for couples getting married here. They can use us as the venue only which means we will provide the tables, chairs, silverware and basic white linens. We also have four tiers of all inclusive packages that we can offer our couples. These packages will provide everything from the officiate to gift baskets for the guest. The different options come with different size and number of centerpieces, specialty linens, bamboo arbors, and even designer lighting where we place the couple’s initials on the dance floor. We have the resources and expertise to help you plan and execute a perfect wedding from start to finish.

Q. Do you provide child care / baby sitting?

Q. What are the pool hours?

A.

8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Q. Is the Emerald Grande pool open to the public?

A.

No. Resort guests and their friends and family only.

Q. How do I get to the beach?

A.

As a guest of Emerald Grande the Emerald Grande Beach Shuttle is available to you all day.  The shuttle is located right behind Tropical Smoothie and  HarborWalk Marina’s Nautical Treasures store in HarborWalk Village. From the Grande Vista pool deck take the Pineapple Express elevator located behind the water fountain to level 1R in HarborWalk Village. Once in HarborWalk Village proceed left (East) toward the HarborWalk Marina’s Nautical Treasures.  For more information click here.

Q. Do I need to bring my own towel to the pool?

A.

Towels are available for use at the pool from the Concierge Desk located on the Grande Vista Level, same level as the pool. Towels are also available at the Emerald Grande Shuttle for use on the beach.
Towels are designated for use at each location and must be returned to the same location. A fee may be charged to your room for towels that are not returned the same day.

Q. Do you have concierge service?

A.

Yes. Our concierge is available Monday-Friday from 8am- 5pm. If you need assistance after hours, our front desk is open 24 hours a day.

A.

Anytime! All year there are many things to do and see. The best rates are in before Memorial Day and after Labor Day.   In our opinion October is fantastic, it has the nicest weather, great fishing, and the water is still warm.

We cannot offer refunds for early departures. Cancellations outside 30 days of original arrival date are subject to a $100.00 cancellation fee. Cancellations within 30 days of the original arrival date are subject to the loss of the full advance payment. No Shows will be cancelled at 6:00am (CST) the morning after the scheduled arrival date. Q. Is there live music and how can I get a schedule of who’s playing?

A.

It’s a party in the streets with live music celebrations frequently held on the village’s amphitheater-styled main stage. This outdoor, waterfront, venue hosts live shows and music performances throughout the year. Additionally the Harbor Restaurants offer a wide variety of live music performances every night. Q. How can I make a reservation at Emerald Grande at HarborWalk Village?

Q. When are the fireworks shows?

A.

Fireworks shows appear over the Destin Harbor directly behind HarborWalk Village and Emerald Grande every Thursday night during the summer. You may also see them on holidays such as Memorial Day Weekend, July 4th, Labor Day Weekend, and New Year’s Eve.

Q. Do you have back-up options when the weather becomes an issue?

Yes, as part of our planning process we will discuss indoor back up options for the ceremony and pictures to take place if inclement weather.

Q. Are decorations from outside vendors allowed?

A.

Yes. Please coordinate with your event planner.

Q. May we hire our own photographer/videographer?

Certainly. We are also happy to provide you with our preferred vendor list. Our weddings Facebook page is full of great examples.

Q. What is your cancellation policy for weddings and related events?

Deposits are non-refundable.

Yes. We do it all the time!

Q. How far in advance should I plan my destination wedding?

A.

One major factor is how many guests are going to be invited. For a traditional wedding a month or two is acceptable notice for “Save the Date” cards. Destination Weddings however involve travel arrangements, and therefore should be sent out at least 4-6 months in advance. This is to allow the guests to properly budget and plan for the trip, and to make sure that they are able to obtain reservations.

Q. Will I need a wedding coordinator to handle the ceremony at my destination wedding location?

A.

Depending on the ceremony details, it is recommended that you work with someone to help plan the more intimate details. Our catering manager at the location will plan the event and reception and maintain reputable local vendor lists, and can help organize your big day.

Q. Why plan a destination wedding?

A.

There are many reasons to choose a destination wedding. Many couples look to a destination wedding as a way to have a unique and memorable wedding experience. Often, when looking at a guest list, many people will have to travel from far away states or countries. A destination wedding allows them to travel somewhere exotic and fabulous, where they can also enjoy a relaxing vacation; as opposed to asking guests to book a flight and hotel in a less exciting hometown. More couples decide upon a destination wedding as they are from different areas of the country, and do not want to decide against one hometown for another, so they opt to go to a location that will, from now on, be somewhere special to each of them. One of the most common reasons to choose a destination wedding is to save money. Destination Weddings often allow couples to save upwards of $20,000 versus a traditional wedding!

Q. What is a destination wedding?

A.

When a couple decides that they want to exchange their vows and celebrate their love in a dream location that they and their guests will have to travel to, they are deciding on a Destination Wedding. The entire wedding party will travel to the destination and enjoy a long weekend – or an entire week – and be on vacation while attending the wedding.

Q. What is the venue like (what does it look like)?

A.

Emerald Grande at HarborWalk Village overlooks the Destin Harbor, East Pass and the Gulf of Mexico. It provides the most breathtaking backdrop for weddings. We do ceremonies on our Captain’s Deck and Sunset Deck which looks out over the Destin Harbor and East Pass. An additional option includes Regatta Bay Golf & Country Club for a more traditional style.

here is FREE parking to the public within the Emerald Grande parking garage, on-site and along Destin’s new Boardwalk. During special events many people park across the street. In season there are restaurant golf carts, and water taxis that all service HarborWalk Village.

A.

Emerald Grande graciously accommodates events of all sizes. We have beautiful outdoor and indoor facilities to meet your needs. Our ballroom is 1950 sq ft. and our Captain’s Deck which overlooks the Destin harbor is 5000 sq ft. We also have other venue options to accommodate or personalize smaller special events. Q. Do you have a quick check in… how can i make my check-in lighting fast?

A.

Each owner is deeded an interest (fraction) of a specific condominium residence. They then pay a monthly or annual maintenance fee and annual real estate taxes based on their ownership. All the other related concerns of vacation home ownership or second home ownership including maintenance and furnishings replacement are left to the property management company.

Q. What is fractional real estate ownership?

A.

Each owner is deeded an interest (fraction) of a specific condominium residence. They then pay a monthly or annual maintenance fee and annual real estate taxes based on their ownership. All the other related concerns of vacation home ownership or second home ownership including maintenance and furnishings replacement are left to the property management company.

Q. How is fractional real estate ownership different than timeshare ownership?

A.

Fractional real estate ownership properties are typically located in world-renown resort locations where prime real estate is coveted and in extremely short supply. The residences are characteristically larger and far more luxurious than timeshare accommodations and offer a significantly higher level of personal services, exclusivity and sophistication. Deeded fractional real estate ownership is evaluated as an alternative real estate purchase by the savvy investor who enjoys that specific location and would like to take advantage of the flexibility of using the residence and resort as their needs dictate. Letting family or business associates enjoy the additional time or take advantage of the rental management option are attractive alternatives to the owner’s personal use. Q. Do you cater the events?

Yes.  All the time.  Emerald Grande provides all of your food and beverage needs. With our special events menu, I am sure that you will be able to find something to suit your needs. If not, our Chef will customize your menu to make sure that every couple has exactly what they want for their special day.

Q. How do you decorate for receptions?

A.

We have several options for couples getting married here. They can use us as the venue only which means we will provide the tables, chairs, silverware and basic white linens. We also have four tiers of all inclusive packages that we can offer our couples. These packages will provide everything from the officiate to gift baskets for the guest. The different options come with different size and number of centerpieces, specialty linens, bamboo arbors, and even designer lighting where we place the couple’s initials on the dance floor. We have the resources and expertise to help you plan and execute a perfect wedding from start to finish.

Q. How far in advance should I plan my destination wedding?

A.

One major factor is how many guests are going to be invited. For a traditional wedding a month or two is acceptable notice for “Save the Date” cards. Destination Weddings however involve travel arrangements, and therefore should be sent out at least 4-6 months in advance. This is to allow the guests to properly budget and plan for the trip, and to make sure that they are able to obtain reservations.

Q. Will I need a wedding coordinator to handle the ceremony at my destination wedding location?

A.

Depending on the ceremony details, it is recommended that you work with someone to help plan the more intimate details. Our catering manager at the location will plan the event and reception and maintain reputable local vendor lists, and can help organize your big day.

Q. Why plan a destination wedding?

A.

There are many reasons to choose a destination wedding. Many couples look to a destination wedding as a way to have a unique and memorable wedding experience. Often, when looking at a guest list, many people will have to travel from far away states or countries. A destination wedding allows them to travel somewhere exotic and fabulous, where they can also enjoy a relaxing vacation; as opposed to asking guests to book a flight and hotel in a less exciting hometown. More couples decide upon a destination wedding as they are from different areas of the country, and do not want to decide against one hometown for another, so they opt to go to a location that will, from now on, be somewhere special to each of them. One of the most common reasons to choose a destination wedding is to save money. Destination Weddings often allow couples to save upwards of $20,000 versus a traditional wedding!

Q. What is a destination wedding?

When a couple decides that they want to exchange their vows and celebrate their love in a dream location that they and their guests will have to travel to, they are deciding on a Destination Wedding. The entire wedding party will travel to the destination and enjoy a long weekend – or an entire week – and be on vacation while attending the wedding.

Q. What is the venue like (what does it look like)?

Emerald Grande at HarborWalk Village overlooks the Destin Harbor, East Pass and the Gulf of Mexico. It provides the most breathtaking backdrop for weddings. We do ceremonies on our Captain’s Deck and Sunset Deck which looks out over the Destin Harbor and East Pass. An additional option includes Regatta Bay Golf & Country Club for a more traditional style.

Anytime! All year there are many things to do and see. The best rates are in before Memorial Day and after Labor Day.   In our opinion October is fantastic, it has the nicest weather, great fishing, and the water is still warm.

Q. Is there live music and how can I get a schedule of who’s playing?

It’s a party in the streets with live music celebrations frequently held on the village’s amphitheater-styled main stage. This outdoor, waterfront, venue hosts live shows and music performances throughout the year. Additionally the Harbor Restaurants offer a wide variety of live music performances every night. Q. When are the fireworks shows?

A.

Fireworks shows appear over the Destin Harbor directly behind HarborWalk Village and Emerald Grande every Thursday night during the summer. You may also see them on holidays such as Memorial Day Weekend, July 4th, Labor Day Weekend, and New Year’s Eve.

Q. Where should I park?

A.

here is FREE parking to the public within the Emerald Grande parking garage, on-site and along Destin’s new Boardwalk. During special events many people park across the street. In season there are restaurant golf carts, and water taxis that all service HarborWalk Village.
