Here at HarborWalk Village, we are excited to announce our upcoming signature Fall event, Half Shells on the Harbor. It’s guaranteed to be a Shuckin’ Good Time!
Half Shells on the Harbor will take place on Sunday, November 14th from 1:00pm-4:00pm, with a VIP pre-event Sip N’ Shuck experience starting at noon.
Sip N’ Shuck is an experience that you will not want to miss out on! VIP guests will have a one-of-a-kind exclusive class with Chef Rifko of Oysters XO. This hands-on oyster shucking class will have you shucking your own oysters in minutes! Not only will you learn how to shuck oysters, but you will also receive an Oyster XO Shucking Kit, one dozen fresh oysters, 2 complimentary drinks, and early event access on the Destin Harbor to taste all the fresh oyster preparations. The Shuckin’ good time does not stop there! Our general admissions tickets will gain you access to the HarborWalk Village event starting at 1:00pm. This Tide to Table event will allow you to taste fresh oyster recipes that our local chefs have prepared. Remember! This is a competition, and you will be able to vote on your favorite oyster for the People’s Choice Award. We will have restaurants, such as East Pass Seafood and Oyster House, showcasing their spin on a Rockefeller to Rhumcay Island Grille presenting their Ceviche-inspired oyster! You will enjoy a variety of preparations and flavors along the Destin Harbor while sipping on wines, craft beers, and spirits.
Once the competition has started and the judges have delighted their tastebuds, winners will be announced for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, in addition to a People’s Choice Award!

Half Shells on the Harbor was created around the idea of bringing the locals back to HarborWalk Village and providing them with a one-of-a-kind experience. I think many of the attendees will be pleasantly surprised to see their local favorite restaurants and chefs dishing up their delicious oysters and engaging in friendly competition,” said Ragan Griggs, Event Operations Coordinator for HarborWalk Village.
